Mission Statement

The Transit Center–Art and Production Gallery is an arts-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming at-risk youth ages 16–21 years old into working artists through arts-mentorship and work-readiness skill development.

Our Vision

At-risk youth are paired with an arts-mentor who will work with them to develop their artistic skills and social skills, aiding them in planning for a career as an independent artist. Additionally, the at-risk youth will create a portfolio with personal arts projects and a real-life inspired Public Service Announcement over the course of the mentorship, thereby providing the youth with the opportunity to build awareness in the community on a topic of their choice, and preparing them to either further their education, or enter the arts-sector prepared as a capable employee.
